A Good Place for People Who Read

Happy Reads- A cheerful bookstore and book truck combo that doesn’t technically exist, but really should! It's part of a whole tiny village built around books—which, frankly, seems like excellent city planning.

These one-of-a-kind original watercolors are part of my growing collection of slightly wonky bookstores, libraries, book villages and occasionally wildly overloaded book trucks. All are painted loosely in watercolor and finished with just enough ink to hold the whole thing together.

Each shop or book truck or book village is different: a little crooked, a little imperfect and full of the possibility that there’s something very good to read just inside the door.
