Each of these original watercolor canvas bags is a little piece of my growing neighborhood of slightly wonky bookstores, libraries, book villages and book trucks—painted loosely in watercolor and finished with just enough ink to hold the whole thing together.

No two are exactly alike. Buildings lean. Books pile up. Colors wander. And the book trucks are generally carrying far more books than any reasonable vehicle should.
